Studying

You're at uni or TAFE. Nobody's chasing you up, everything's due the same week, and you're still working shifts.

Working or changing direction

You've started a job or an apprenticeship, or you're not sure the course you picked is still right. You want to think it through before you decide.

Working towards something

There's something you want to do, like getting fitter, starting a business or moving out. You've been thinking about it for a while but haven't started.

How it works

How mentoring with Nick works

It's one to one and built around you, not a set program to get through. You talk about what's going on and Nick asks the questions that help you get clear.

You might work on

01

A study routine that fits around work, training and a social life

02

Deciding whether to stick with a course, switch or take a break

03

Making a start on a goal you keep putting off

04

Sleep, food and exercise habits that give you more energy

05

Staying on track through a change, like moving out or mates heading different ways

Who you'll work with

Nick, PAVE's founder

He's a former teacher who is now a health and wellness coach and sports enthusiast. He's worked with young people across education, coaching and mentoring. Growing up, he had a loving family, supportive teachers and great opportunities, but he still felt like he didn't quite fit in.

    Your call

Looking into this for your son or daughter?

It makes sense to want someone good in their corner. At this age it's their decision, and mentoring works best when they've chosen it. You're welcome to ask Nick questions first. If you think it could help, send them this page.

Questions

Who is this for?

18 to 25 year olds on the Northern Beaches. You don't need a clear goal or a problem to fix. Working out what you want can be where you start.

How is a mentor different from friends or family?

Nick isn't a replacement for the people already in your life. He's someone outside your usual circle who'll listen, ask good questions and be straight with you when it helps.

Is this tutoring, career advice or therapy?

No. Nick won't write your assignments, pick your course or tell you how to live. Mentoring is about what you want to work on and how you'll go about it.

What does it cost, and when could I start?

Nick will go through the options when you chat. Places with him are limited, so he'll be upfront about when he could start.

My mum or dad sent me this. Do I have to?

Nope, it's your call. If you're curious, book a chat and see what you think.
